This policy covers bestyoutubeclips.com and the BestYouTubeClips catalog plugin. The service is operated by Vinay Vidyasagar. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@thelazydevs.com.
Browsing and analytics
The website has no BestYouTubeClips account registration, payment form or advertising-profile system. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on the public website to understand aggregate page visits and performance. Cloudflare describes this analytics service as not collecting or using visitors’ personal data. Our application does not record individual video plays or shares.
Links from the plugin may contain campaign labels identifying ChatGPT as the source of a visit. These labels do not contain a user ID or your search query. Website fonts are hosted locally.
YouTube videos and thumbnails
Thumbnails load from YouTube. Watch pages load YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embedded player, and videos remain hosted by YouTube. Loading these resources sends network requests to Google/YouTube; playing videos or opening YouTube links is subject to their policies and your settings. Privacy-enhanced embedding does not mean that no data is processed. Your browser may send information such as its IP address, browser details and the referring site.
Using the ChatGPT plugin
The connected plugin receives the tool arguments that ChatGPT sends, such as topic words, duration limits, categories and catalog clip IDs. It uses those arguments to search our bundled catalog and return recommendations. It does not request access to your YouTube account, email, contacts or files. The server code does not save queries, watchlists or user profiles to a database, and does not use incoming identity headers to build personal profiles. The saved-catalog skills version runs through the host’s tools and is also subject to that host’s policies.
OpenAI/Sites manages the connected plugin’s authentication and hosting. ChatGPT processes your conversations under its own policies and settings. Tool arguments can contain information you include in a request, so please avoid sending personal or sensitive information that is unnecessary for finding clips.
Hosting, service providers and retention
OpenAI/Sites and Cloudflare provide hosting, delivery and connection services. Providers may process technical request information, authentication information and operational or security logs under their own policies, even though our catalog code does not store search history. We do not set those providers’ retention periods.
If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them to respond. Our published studio contact uses email providers to deliver and store correspondence. We retain correspondence while needed to address the request or meet applicable obligations. Providers may process information in countries other than your own.
We do not sell information received through support requests or use it to create advertising profiles. Information may be shared with providers needed to operate the service or respond to requests, or where required by law.
Your choices and requests
You can browse catalog pages without opening a watch page, choose whether to play an embedded video, disconnect the plugin through your host’s settings, and manage your Google and ChatGPT privacy settings. To request access, correction or deletion of information you have sent us, email the contact above. We may need to verify that the information relates to you and explain any information that must be retained. Requests about ChatGPT conversations, Google accounts or provider-held records should also be directed to the relevant provider.
